Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
Ensure sales reporting, targets, processes, and strategies are aligned with the strategic objectives of the division.
Manage relationships with partners and other Informa businesses to ensure that strategies are aligned, clearly communicated.
Ensure the division is appropriately staffed, that teams are trained sufficiently, and that sales compensation is aligned with business objectives.
Actively contribute to the strategic plans for events within the portfolio, ensuring that plans accurately reflect the needs of the market.
Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships.
Proactively monitor and maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the divisions planning efforts.
Coordinate training delivery to sales, sales management, and sales support personnel across the division.
Build support and strong internal-company relationships with marketing and event operations.
Lead relationships with joint venture partners to ensure that objectives are clearly communicated and implemented.
Accurate and timely reporting of divisional and event specific forecasts.
Sales and marketing teams work collaboratively to deliver shared objectives.
Achievement of strategic objectives as defined by the company management.
Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
Create and communicate sales goals and ensure C-level executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
Preferred skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices.
Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
